Interesting. This doc is one of the ones I was researching when picking a hormone doc. He seems to be reputable and knowledgeable.

The newscaster said he had also contacted experts who said that the vaccine was safe, but the only one he interviewed for TV was the one who said the vaccine was unsafe. Seems like more of the sensationalizing that passes for journalism nowadays.

I also wonder whether it is fair to call him an infectious disease expert. We know from his internet presence that he practices age management and interventional endocrinology. Most doctors in that field have come to it from other specialties, but I wouldn't call a doctor who has left the infectious disease specialty an infectious disease expert - I would call him a media whore.

Maybe the reason the other three doctors said it was safe is becasue they are typical HMO type docs who are fed their data and controlled by Big Pharma, and Insurance companies.

I am not sure that it is true that the pharmaceutical industry is going to realize a windfall profit from the swine flu vaccine.

A few years ago, there was a flu vaccine shortage because conditions at one of the manufacturing facilities were so poor that the gov't revoked their GMP certification, I think.

They had a difficult time finding somebody else to produce the vaccine - they ended up having to go offshore. No US companies were willing to step up because ramping up at the last minute to produce a seasonal flu vaccine just wasn't hugely profitable.

Of course, there must be some gain in it. Otherwise, they just wouldn't do it at all.
