Ok folks, I debated posting on this but it's finally ticked me off and I don't know what to do so I'm asking for some suggestions.

I can't seem to address these bloating / water retention / unable to lose weight issues I've had for the last few years and seem to be getting worse. You can see the mass blaoting in my entire upper body/face especially. I look so thick and bloated and I feel that way too. I know part of it (at least) is water retention because my ring finger is loose to very tight against the ring off and on throughout the day. I used to lose weight in my sleep, or by eating healthier/drinking lots of water and no matter what I do it seems I can't get those results anymore.I am VERY stuck. I've even tried high fibre, lots of water to relive the water retention... nothing.

TRT/HCG has improved libido considerably but not this area. My RHEIN results show sub-optimal cortisol but I'm awaiting result from TRT to see how much I can improve stress reduction.

It should be noted that being on HC in the past didn't help the matter.

I am leaning towards thyroid because I have had elevated TSH, and low FT3 in the past. But I was also on dessicated thyroid in the past (2 grains) and got my TSH down closer to the recommended number, but this didn't help my blaoting / weight loss issues either it seems. Some past thyroid results here:

What the heck is this? I could post pictures of before and after... the bloating is terrible.

I still have some depression lingering too which makes me think thyroid as well. And sluggishness/constipation.

Although my worst symptoms of cold hands/feet/coarse hair/irritated skin are not around anymore either.

Thoughts?

How's your blood pressure?

I am in the same boat .. and I am and have always been borderline hypertensive. I am anxious to see the "experts" recommendations. I have tried nearly everything as well . .when I started TRT I was hoping it would rectify the problem. . . but it has not. . .just helped with many of my fatigue issues.

How's your blood pressure?

Pretty sparkling gman, life insurance nurse came by the other day and gave me two, 120 over 80s or damn near close.

I was surprised too to be honest. I'm always surprised my BP has been good. Eventually I imagine it will budge. I am getting near 30 now...

I just don't get what's going on. All signs point to sluggish metabolism in terms of inability to lose weight I suppose. But how do I fix that? And what the heck is causing the bloating?

Thats a good blood pressure reading mine has been around 130/80 which is better than what it was before making progression.

Investigate estradiol/estrogens, closely

potassium?

It ain't estrogens actually. I'm keeping these in check, and to be honest they weren't much an issue for me according to any of my labs....

Initially and for the longest time I thought estrogens. But not estrogens.

Potassium? Haven't heard that one... willl look into it.

I crave sodium especially, like hardcore. So I'm wondering if it has something to do with that.

I am not trying to make a definitive list for you, but here's my quick list.

You're going to need to checklist them, and work through them one-by-one (bummer)

###

too high estradiol (decreases ability of proteins to cross blood vessel walls, and thus blood vessels enlarge)

too high sodium (allows blood proteins and water to flow too freely across blood vessel walls)

high levels of histamines (occurs when exposed to allergic substances)

liver or kidney disease,
or
liver or kidney genetic insufficiency - there are at least two routes where this has an effect:

Route 1) is a complex one, the following is the normal behavior, but when the liver or kidneys have problems, then the final result is excess water retention:

...food or alcohol digestion causes sinusoidal pressure on the liver ->
...causes systemic vasodilation (blood vessels expanding) ->
...causes kidney to measure decrease in blood pressure ->
...kidney activates renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system ->
...results in a little sodium and water retention ->
...plus non-osmotic release of antidiuretic hormone also results in a little water retention

Route 2) insufficient albumin

...albumin is negatively charged and attracts sodium, which means insufficient albumin results in excess sodium being present
...the excess sodium causes the excess water retention

(there are more, I just haven't had to research them)
