What concerns does Dr. John have with 2X week injections. Is it because 1X weekly allows a larger peak and trough like our natural daily T cycle or are there other reasons.
Do the benefits such as less e2 complications outweigh the potential problems.

Can't speak for Dr J, but one would assume that any change in protocal that makes you feel better would be just fine.

Less E2 is a great benefit and I don't know of a any potential problems yet.

I should have stated my question differently. We all agree that we have access to one of the leaders in this field in Dr. John. If there are benefits to bi weekly injections, why isn't it addressed in his recipe for success.
I guess not to start a pissing match with who should speak for who etc. I'll ask it this way.
What are the benefits of 1x week per bi weekly other that less needles. Is it better to have a more stable level as one should get with bi weekly or better to have peaks and troughs one would get with 1x weekly.
I do realize that not one size fits all and everyone is different, so an overall outlook is what I'm hoping to get answered.
Thanks

I've heard debates for both but haven't heard a diffinative answer. I would like to know this as well.

For IM I feel the once a week is better because of the ebb and flow. I don't want contstant levels since it doesn't seem like it would be healthy, but I can't prove why.
I do it twice weekly because I hit a period where the high end # dropped by half after months of use and I was flat. So for me twice weekly is a concession to dumping T at a certain plateau and wanting to smooth it out.

I can't speak as to the reasoning for the protocol, but I can tell you that I originally began once weekly IM injections and, on the advice of an endocrinologist -- who wanted to see if we could obviate the need for arimidex -- switched to semiweekly shots.
I went on a roller coaster. Even tinkering with arimidex didn't help.
Two weeks later on once weekly IM and I'm pretty much back to normal.
I know there are some who have high SHBG who benefit from such a routine, I clearly did not. I was an angry mess. My pants actually pissed me off one day.

So there are people who feel better when swithed from 2x/week to a once/week T shots.
Wonder how would you fare on daily transdermals.
It is not easy to emulate Mother Nature.

That's only because I kept a close eye on them.
My wife recently conceived and I think this was God's way of teaching me empathy for her mood swings.

Jan, yes, I feel waaay better on once weekly shots than I did semi weekly. I really was a mess.
When I was on transdelmals my T didn't budge but my DHT steadily increased with each dosage increase.
I have since added finasteride 1 mg twice weekly to help combat hair loss and I have had no ill effect. So I may switch back to them sometime after my wife gives birth, as i can control DHT with it.

Make sure that your wife stay away from finasteride, it hurts women probably more than Transdermal-T.
Why would you switch to transdermal-T if it did not worked for you previously.
Stay with what works.
Unless there is more to this story.

God's way of teaching me empathy for my wife's mood swings was to give me her testosterone and estrogen levels. Bastard.
