What are your opinions on IDEAL urine PH levels? Anyone know if urine PH is representative of blood PH? Reason I ask is that my urine PH seems fine (7.5), but I don't believe my stomach PH is high enough (degestion issues).

You can read lots of different things regarding blood and urine PH. Google "Gout and PH"

From what I understand is that your blood PH is in a very narrow range and does not fluctuate much at all. Your body maintains this and if it gets out of balance you are in deep doo doo.

Urine PH is another issue. It can be alkaline or acidic. If you eat alot of protein it's more likely to be acidic.

People w/gout would have you believe that if your BLOOD PH gets out align this can cause a gout attack. I don't buy it but then again I have seen stranger things. I have gout and don't find any rhyme or reason for my attacks. Right now I am on a high protein low card diet and have no gout symtoms. Some would say this is the death blow for someone with gout but not me. Sorry, gave you more than you probably wanted.
