Looks like a no brainer to me. Why such differences in pricing? My last 2 comprehensive labs from my local MD cost my insurance company 1500.00 each.

It is blood work. I thought it sounded great too. Its from a nationally known doctor so he may have some kind of deal set up with the labs.

This is a good deal I think. When I did it I thought it was too good to be true but he faxed me the copies etc.. and it's all there. I think this a pretty good price unless you are just wanting your hormone levels and even then it couldn't be that much cheaper.
Also, they use a custom code so I don't know if there is something they work out w/the lab for his patients or what.

I will be going in for new labs soon and was wondering if anyone would recommend adding any other tests to the list below? Thanks.

Vitamin D level would be a good one to check too
I had the same blood work drawn on Friday morning. It took 3 vials, I expected a lot worse! Still waiting on the results.

Other than an AM fasting and no dose day of test, should I skip any doses the day before testing?

Do they use Quest?
I went to labcorp. Doc faxed me the prescription with his own labcorp blood test code on it. It actually took the lady only 2 minutes to check me in and begin the draw.

I posted recomended labs here, heavy consideration about spending money.
Most important, hematocrit and your phlebotomies:

.
crazycrew, that first lab for $299.00 is a very good deal, that 's like insurance pay rates. I have been looking at my insurance statements and they pretty much pay Quest 10-12% of the rate Quest tries to bill for so there is HUGE mark up in testing. I mean if they can bill my insurance 700.00 and accept 67.50 in payment you know the true cost of testing is very small.
