I am currently considering going on HRT, as I have all the side effects of low test.
Anyway, after reading through Dr. Crisler's excellent "TRT- Recipe For Success" essay, I couldn't help but wondering if anything has changed in teh nearly five years since it was written.
For starters, Dr Crisler strongly states that recommends that all his patients start on a transdermal first. Is that still teh case?
Also, it implies that he doesn't introduce HCG until further along in the program. I wonder if the five years has changed his stance on that.
Thanks

His protocol evolves continually, but the principles you mentioned haven't changed. I have been reading him on one board or another for nearly five years and I would say that he likes transdermals now even more than he did when he originally wrote that paper.
But that's not to say that he doesn't use IM cyp. He individualizes the treatment to the patient.

Dr John's protocol is a life saver for somebody who have no clue about TRT.
But individual patient is getting personal, individual attention which may be drastically different.
Prior to that doctors would give monthly test shots, patient would gain at least couple good days within that month.

i agree, it seems like that document is more of a baseline...a good starting point.

I'd say it's certainly a great starting point but its not one size fits all. The protocol he has me on now has evolved to look nothing like the original "Recipe for Success".
Best advice I can give is gather your coins and head to Michigan.
Note to all: Please don't pm me for what Dr. Crisler has me doing. See Man Law 17.

there wouldn't be any point in knowing your protocol. like you said it's not "one size fits all".
