Is Dr. Crisler on HRT and has he ever posted his routine?

I would think that is none of our business.
Well, I am new here. I apologize if this is out of line. Although it would be confusing to me how Dr. Crisler is comfortable with sharing that he fell in love and has a great woman in his life and not be able to share if he is self treating for that in which he administers. Maybe an invalid assumption on my part ad if construed by Dr. Crisler as inappropriate then delete the post and accept my apology. However, it certainly would speak volumes since we now live in a transparent world.

wouldn't that violate patient confidentiality?

Only if he also has multiple personality disorder. And assuming, in the first place, he treats himself.

Occasionally he has alluded to the fact that he is on HRT, but hasn't shared details. If I am not mistaken, his program is managed by another physician.
You know what they say about doctors who treat themselves.

Amen to that because even if i am familar with women's hormones I would never treat my own woman or interfer in her therapy because one needs to leave their own basis out of the equation. Would a surgeon do heart surgery on their own wife. I do not think so. He does enough thinking for other people some times you need to let another person do the thinking for you. Every picture a psychologist every doing therapy on them selves. Its the same principle.

I don't speak for him in any way. My personal opinion it is no more appropriate to ask him if he is on TRT than it would be to ask your family doctor if he has ED or an enlarged prostate. Just my opinion of course.
Seems like you do speak for him, just my opinion. LOL :iamwithstupid:
Instead of wanting to take pot shots and flame like a 12 year old on a gamers forum, maybe Mr. Appropriate could have private messaged me whereby I would have thought to remove my post. I am here to benefit by and hopefully bring benefit others. If you have an issue get a tissue. LOL
In hindsight I should have private messaged Dr. Crisler, maya copa. How typical to think that ego has a place where people may be fighting for their lives, but after all this is hormone world. ED, hemorrhoids, a drippy Willie, who cares? After all, we are in this together aren't we?

I would like to know. We are on here laying it all out and for him and taking his advice... why would it be out of line for HIM to let us know if he subscribed to the same ideas he preaches.

.......not worth creating the division. I wish I would have never posted the question. What is amazing is I am involved in a Yahoo Group that praises Dr. Crisler up and down and we are all about the science and you never see this sort of "in your grill" exchange. I have been to the wall and have had a near death. I don't have time to address those who spend more time criticizing than contributing, but thanks for expressing what I thought was appropriate.
Frankly, what spawned the question was that I noticed Dr. Crislers big hair from behind the podium and was wondering if he supplemented with the product contained in the shopping cart. Silly me, I would think it was a great billboard for sales.
However, as not to embarrass the good doctor over his amazing crop I will secretly contact him and ask him and then send the decoder ring to ensure no one possibly looking over his shoulder could get the information. Who knows the Russians may be developing a new stealth cloaking device that includes what seems to be innocent bystanders with big hair to block field of view before they roll out and draw fire. So for the sake of national security there will be a 128 bit encrypted transmission with PGP key, rest assured and with confidence for the safety of the homeland is certain. :willy_nilly:

Wow.
1. I don't see anyone who really took a "pot shot" or flamed you. No one called you a moron or an idiot.
2. To Maiden - in my opinion it would not be out of line if he desired to share all that personal information. It IS out of line however, to expect him to do so... Out of line for any of us to feel entitled to that information.
I mean really guys - do you think every cardiologist who has heart disease broadcasts it to all of his patients? Every endocrinologist who has diabetes?
Just because he makes himself available to us when possible, does not mean he owes us that information.

Agree 100% While I confess I'd be interested in how Dr J does or would treat himself, such is is own business. It is improper & unrealistic to expect him to share such personal info with us. We are fortunate he shares what he does. Don't blow a good thing.

Isn't that a little silly? I mean, if a Dr. was treating you for high blood pressure, would he need to have high blood pressure himself and be on the same treatment as he was prescribing for you in order for him to have credibility with you?

For me, it would give me insight into how he's so knowledgeable.
Does he have a group of Docs to meet with and share ideas? I assume so. But, if he practices on himself, no wonder then.., he can tweak labs & test on himself.:Angel_anim:

Agreed.. it seems to me this whole thing was blown a bit out of proportion. Hemochromatosis had benign intentions when he posed his question (that's how I saw it at any rate). No need to slam the man, right? It's not like he came out with "Hey doc, you better cough up the information or else.."
The good doc is obviously under no obligation to divulge anything, but I don't see a forum rule that says "under no circumstances can you ask me about my own TRT routine!", so I think it was a fair question.
My gut feeling tells me he won't be sharing it out in the open (I probably wouldn't, either, if I were in his position), but you never know. Life is full of surprises.

Don't take it personally.
Some here are very conservative in their exchanges on this board
You will find me and a few others to be more humorous, freewheeling and liberal, and laid back in our approaches.

I would be totally open and transparent. The only reason I use the name I do is to bring attention to the most prevalent genetic disorder in America that few know about.

This is getting extrapolated beyond reason. I thought the man had thick hair and wondered if he took what was in the shopping cart. Then I wondered if he has engaged HRT. Honestly, I don't see how most after 40 couldn't, but I am sure there are exceptions.
Bottom line is I wish a moderator would delete this thread. The only way we will ever make real progress is together.

Well, that narrows you down to one of the 2.3 million Bobs in the USA.
"Forthcoming" is saying you are Bob Dunkleman from French Lick Indiana - and having all of the posts talking about your ED and TRT be the first thing that come up when your neighbors Google your name.
na, even when you google dr. crisler this forum barley shows up on the first page. i'd fire the SEO guy...lol

I was 52 when I started HRT. I was active and feeling good right up to 52.

I have a not-so-common last name. .
Yea, I'm lucky in that regard. My last name is a very common used word. Plus, I do not engage in any silly online personal stuff like myspace, facebook, IM chat or basically anything of that sort of nature.
I have tried to google myself tons of times but nothing yet.
Funny thing, but there is someone out there with my exact name. When I google my name his facebook page comes up.
He looks exactly like me, and is about my age too.
So i go sorting threw his page, and it turns out, he is friends with people I am friends with.
I have found out that people who knew me were contacting him thinking it was me  - Hence him having my friends on his page, depsite the fact we live in different states.
Funny stuff
Hemo, stop beating yourself up. Your alright in my book buddy. I don't think your that out of line and obviously if Dr John thought it was a big deal he would have edited himself.
So just chill. Have a drink and relax for cryin out loud ;)

I could care less if the good Doc is on TRT. It would however be interesting to know what it was that peaked his interest in this particular field of medicine in the first place.

I think he is on HRT.
I have heard him talk about trying out various TRT methods, and I have heard him mention stuff about past steroid use.
His a pretty muscular dude, I think he used to, or probably still does, hit the weights hard. And like a lot of guys in their 20's or whatnot, I think he tried AAS.
I think thats pretty flipping sweet though. Of course most MD's today don't have the balls to prescribe testosterone - Most of them have never lifted a weight or injected anything.
Experience > everything else
Of course, this is all speculative thinking based on the fact that I tend to remember and retain everything I read to the exact detail, mostly due to liberal use of nootropics.
So don't quote here for exact fact - But I am nearly certain I'm fairly correct

Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Busted!
Weasel words are the curse of us who are stuck inside our own heads and constantly thinking and analyzing everything in the most minute, careful details.
Of course, my use of various herbs and nootropics only further reinforces said thinking.
Also, I'm currently spending about 4-5 hours a day studying for next weeks finals in business theory and politics, so that too might have something to do with it. :cheers2:

dr crisler has openly admitted that he was a steroid user and knows what it means to be "juiced up" and "crashed out" but says the last time he used them was 1989, in his words "to know a thing, you must experience its extremes"
he has alluded to the fact that he is on HRT, for instance in his last lecture he posted a picture of a ferrari and said "this is a man properly tuned up on TRT" then showed a picture of a hello kitty car and said "this is a man with hypogonadism before TRT" and some smartass asked "is that your car?" and he said flatly "not anymore"
it was an amusing moment
my general assumption is that hes on several forms of HRT and some supplements, and has a menage a trois with kim and his wife at the end of every day in the mancave
