when putting the gel on for blood work and using the forearm method (rubbing them both together) Would this skew the test taking it 2 hours after application. Now if you apply it on the forearm opposte the draw using just on fingers, wouldnt this also result in false results since much of it is on the fingers instead of the forearm?

When applying gel to forearms do not take blood from anywhere on your hands. Draw from veins on legs.

Make sure that you are dealing with experienced plebothomist.
Most of them insist on drawing from a vein right inside of an elbow.
With the frequent testing that we do around here, after a while you will loose that vein.
So I tell them to go anywhere they want but that place.
That usually work.
--------------------------
When I was at my doc's office for my GD lab tests, my doc personally drawed blood.
When I told him to not use that vein, after discussion we ended at my lower leg area.
This guy (my doc) have not much experience as plebothomist.
After 3 or 4 pokings he finally found a vein that produced blood.
I kept my mouth shut (and did not pulled pin from hand grenate I had in my hand).
I am lean and my veins are sticking 1/4" (or more) above my skin, how someone may have a problem finding them is beyond me.
One thing I have to say about my doc, if I ask him for something, hell or high water, he is trying to make me happy.
Month latter I see a plebothimist at my doc's office.
He is so gentle I want to give him my blood need or not.

All the more reason to use Urines.
I wouldn't think twice a year blood draws to be that damaging to a vein though
