Man, these guys take their religious laws wayyyy too seriously.
I was especially amused by this quote: :D
"Mickey Mouse has become an awesome character, even though according to Islamic law, Mickey Mouse should be killed in all cases."
Sheesh, you'd think they would have more serious threats to worry about. I'd start with Ronald McDonald if I were in their shoes. :p

Don't let one man's opinion corrupt your view of the great religion of Islam and its prophet of God. Take my word for it.

No offence meant, BigAk. ;) I would never make such a broad-sweeping assumption as "every muslim wants Mickey Mouse dead". Just thought this article was funny. By "them" I was of course referring to the fundamentalist minority. And let me just say that I do not for a second condone the presence of American troops in the Middle-east, nor do I subscribe to the notion that all muslims should be tarred with the same brush. And I am most certainly smart enough to understand that 'terrorism' isn't nearly as black and white as govt controlled mass media outlets and other instances would have us believe.
There are wackos in every institution, whether religious, military or government. I recently read an article about a christian sect in the US that was celebrating in the wake of Finland's recent deadly school shooting that left 11 dead. Their reason? God is punishing Finland because of its liberal policies and tolerance of homosexuality. They even wanted to come to Finland to stir up trouble at the victims' weddings. Anyway, just throwing that out there to illustrate that I have nothing against Islam per se.. there are crazy people in all walks of life. I do not generalize until I have reasonable proof to do so, and so far every muslim I've personally met has been nothing short of a polite and extremely nice person (I have lots of muslim friends from back in high school, too).
So, no offence meant.. I hope none was taken?

Sargover.... I'm not offended at all; especially after reading your post.. I'm glad to have gotten to know you better through your last post. If only the rest of the human population would be intelligent enough (such as yourself) to realize such truths and not fall in the propaganda trap, we'd all be doing fine. Unfortunately this is not the case.. There's always going to be crazy people everywhere around the world... no escape on this one.. :D

Thanks BigAk! :p Yes sir, 'think before you type' is usually my modus operandi, but sometimes I find myself slipping. It's good that you could look past that because I really am an open minded, non-judgemental person, and I always try my best to see past all the propaganda and group thinking that is so prevalant in the ranks of society (i.e. being fed truths that have been decided for you before you've gotten the chance to make up your own mind about them).
You're a smart fella yourself and that is a rare, fine quality in a person. Even in the world of TRT.. it's good that you're asking your own questions and carefully weighing the pros and cons before making any hasty decisions.

Every since wathcing "the secret" my perception of religion was completely changed.
