Hey what's up all, I used to work out all the time but it all came to a halt pretty much because of a porn addiction and hormonal problems and losing interest in other activities. I got pulled away from excersive social activities and life basically. I want to get back to being full of energy and occupied. I have joined track in school for a start but I really want to get on this shit. I am mad motivated and I am gonna start hitting the gym soon. I never really understood much about working out other than gaining muscle and looking better, thats a start though I guess lol. I know there's more to it and things to learn... I am interested in seeing what I can do to better myself off avoid over training excersize the right muscle groups and such. If you guys know were I could look or know any good book or have person experiences or just some help on where to start that's awesome. I'm getting going with life and wanna KEEP IT UP. I am 16 years old btw. I just want to learn everything pretty much and start leading a healthy life and become the person that some once knew me as and what I once knew myself as. :auto::auto: Thanks to all !

congrats on wanting to get into the gym, it has surely changed my life. My best suggestion is to buy New Rules of Lifting and read it.... twice if you need to. It is a great intro to weight training. Teaches you the correct mentality to have toward intensity and progression. Another pair of books, much longer reads, but INCREDIBLY informative. Brawn, and Beyond Brawn by Stuart McRobert. Read it, do what it says, get big, strong, and scary (if thats what you want )

Good luck Bro!
