If I have a level of 0.9 on my rhein urine test, is that something I should be concerned about? My father has hypothyroidism, and just got treated for prostate cancer.

Please watch out.

They will be monitoring his PSA and act accordingly.

You want to check

calcium
PTH

Parathyroid hormone, when high, will rise PSA.

Thanks to dr John thread, I was able to warn my friend about all this.

Unfortunately, now he knows that other than PC he also have parathyroid cancer.

Wonder how he is going to find competent surgeon (in Poland).
Parathyroid is hard to locate within thyroid gland.
Then you have to figure which one of the four is hot.

reservatrol takes care of the 4
iodoral converts 16 to estriol
calcium D clears the crap out of the intestines preventing reabsorption
TMG flushes out of the liver
Dim forces convesion of 16 to 2

Honestly people with screwed up levels 2/16,4 levels I have found to have hidden hypothyroidism. GEtting my thyroid is check reduced my e2 to normal levels as i have seen this with numerous clients.4-OHE is elevated by COMT deficiency (which we are not seeing in this case, BTW). Therefore flooding with methyl groups, such as provided by TMG, helps.

You should be more concerned with monitoring and managing your more critical hormones, ie: insulin sensitivity, cortisol, thyroid hormones, testosterone, estradiol, growth hormone.

Once you have those main hormones optimized, then address 4-hydroxyestrone.
