Been using testim for a couple of months and started having sore legs. My calves, behind the knees and inner thighs are sore. Feels like I worked out my legs real hard type of feeling. Not painful, just sore. I didn't see that listed as a side effect but thought I saw a thread a while back with someone having the same symptoms. Told my urologist about it and he just blew me off.

I am not saying this is your problem but when I was on Gels I started having pain in my joints and muscles my back was so bad I had a hard time walking. I was on gels for some yrs and house bound in pain. Until some one posted at the H2 forum they had the same problem.
And when they switched to shots it was gone so I switched to shots and dam if the pain in a short time was gone. My Dr. feels the T going through the skin was not supporting my joints and muscles.

I'm getting ready to switch to the compounded cream so I'll see if that helps or not. Right now it's not too bad, not painful or anything, so I can deal with it and it doesn't seem to be getting worse, just doesn't want to go away either though.

I have a feeling, and this is just speculation based on my experience and things I have picked up, that increasing DHT above levels the body is used to can lead to musculoskeletal pain. Transdermal T usually causes more DHT than injectables.

Yes because dht is created in the skin...
What is your e2 like? out of curiosity...

My DHT did end up 4x's above the top of the labs range on gels and the best I could get for Total T was about 600 but the lab I used at the time there top of the range was 1593. So the 600 was about 400 at Quest labs. Today my TT levels on Test C shots and HCG are for TT between 800 and 900.
Low levels from gels can make your muscle and joints sore.

My urologist is an idiot and said bloodwork wasn't necessary when I asked about it. He wanted me to come back in 6 months to see how I was doing. I had my TT and E2 checked myself using online privatemd. E2 was 15 at LabCorp sensitive test and TT was 518(scale 280-800). I have an appt. with a doctor someone recommended and spoke with their office. They will do a complete bloodwork test to see what is going on.

Yeah, a 60yo colleague of mine experienced this on Androgel. Androgel and Sore Calves (http://www.musclechatroom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1590&highlight=sore+calves). He subsequently quit TRT but not because of his calves, but rather because he started to experience ED which he had never experienced before.
agoraphobe also experienced something similar on shots Question Leg Cramps? (http://www.musclechatroom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3704&highlight=calves) but I'm assuming it has since resolved.

I believe high E2 can also cause muscle aches (as well as ED, of course).

Well, I switched from the Testim to a compounded cream and the soreness is going away. Kinda weird.

I have never heard of this, I am sure in very very rare cases 5% may put you over, I know someone had mentioned that T was too high or they had too much which resulted in sore legs.

I'v read reports from people on ATD (aromatase inhibitor) who had such problems. you take anything like that along with your test?
