Just cooked my first broccoli, taste is very good. Unfortunately I cannot eat any sort of milk, no cheese etc, but this way it already is very good tasting.

a blond girl doing it (a couple of different ways):

next time I'll try out the receipt with the garlic haha

What do you think I can expect from broccoli in terms of Testosterone? (my T is 25-40% of normal level and E2 ca. 60%).

Steamed is best. But I don't eat brocoli. I like it, but lets just say it doesn't seem to like me, so I stick with CAliflour.

Here's my latest creation for veggies with supper:

2 large sweet potatos (cut up small)
2-3 medium/large carrots (cut up small)
2 large parsnips (cut up small)

Cover and microwave for 15-20 minutes with a little butter and salt and pepper. Mmm... good eating! And root veggies seem to be nicer on sensitive tummies!

That seems like an awfully long time in the microwave. Did you mean "seconds"?

I thought broccoli was one of those things that you can't digest properly and don't get any nutrients from if it is raw?

Broccolli makes me fart really good..

Cruciferous vegetables are known for that. Some people avoid them entirely for just this reason.

The shirtless chef could stand to push back from the table.

Try cooking sweet potatoes and carrots for 15 seconds and let me know how they turn out.

I steam it briefly, then squeeze some lemon juice. Salt and fresh ground pepper make it SO good.

I must eat broccoli 3 times per week. Cauliflower most every day (raw and steamed, then balsamic vinegar).

...can't tolerate it raw. Don't care for the pithiness, or the way the seeds get caught in my teeth. But just a little steam...

I also love to saute in olice oil. It's done when color is at maxiumum. Imparts a wonderful, nutty flavor.

Adding some flank steak makes a great meal for a guy on the go.

Maybe we should put together our own cookbook.

Cruciferous vegetables are known for that. Some people avoid them entirely for just this reason.Too bad. Foods of that class are awesome for your health. Look what they do for breast cancer risk, amongst others.

Why must? what concrete health benefit is it giving to you? or only tasty?=)

pepper, salt and lemon juice on it is a nice idea

Actually, I read a study (will have to find it) that lightly steaming broccoli has better antioxidant properties than raw. This is different than almost all other vegetables. That same study stated eating tomatoes together with broccoli (paste is preferred due to concentration) increased antioxidant behavior of both. Its a case of 1+1=3.

Try adding a tablespoon of tomato paste to your broccoli its good.

I load up on them. Fortunately, they don't give me GI distress.

I love broccoli. It is my favorite vegetable. Never eat much Cauliflower so I don't really know if I like it or not. I'll have to pick some up and give it a go.

I dont understand how anyone could pick cauliflower over broccoli.

Another cruciferous veggie I have grown to love is roasted brussel sprouts. If done right, their bitterness is enjoyable vs repulsive.

Braise them with an equal amount of carrots and some sauteed shallots in a couple tbsps of butter and some water. When they're done and the water's cooked off, add a little more butter and a tbsp of vinegar. It will knock your socks off.
