I know that DIM converts a harmful estrogen to less harmful estrogen. I also feel better taking DIM than nothing else, but does it actually raise testosterone levels directly. Or does it convert just a stronger estrogen to a weaker estrogen making you feel better. Will DIM actually raise testosterone levels?

What DIM actually does, including its effects on T levels, is discussed here:

So do i stop taking it?

My total test went from 7.3 to 8.6 but free test went from 35 to 25.2 and oest went from 150 to <100 ...

Seeing as ree test went down i guess i should stop taking it? ( i just started arimidex)

Is it good for people on medicaiton that inhibits p450 enzymes to take? I need to know so i can reccomend to my father.

Thanks

It just changes the e2 metabolites
It can lower, raise or no change e2 depends upon the person biocehmistry
It claims to make testosterone more bio available. I like to use iodoral instead less stress on methylaytion issue which alot of people have.

When I used Indolplex/DIM my Free T levels went up and my E2 went down.

Get your estrogen metabolite profile mapped via either:

a) Rhein Labs urinary hormone profile
URL = http://rheinlabs.com
List of metabolites tested = http://musclechatroom.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=232&d=1221957708

or

b) Meridian Valley Labs urinary hormone profile
URL = http://www.meridianvalleylab.com/

Then discuss with your medical professional adviser whether your estrogen metabolites are now reasonably optimized. If not, then back off the DIM, and retry the urinary profile.

I know this is an expensive way to approach DIM supplemetation, but since DIM messes with so many estrogens, you can't go on symptoms alone to monitor DIM's effects on your long term health.

I assume that only a "Cadillac plan" will ever get reimbursement for this test. Is that your experience too ?

I have what is called a Cadillac plan and my BCBS will not pay for it or even 24 hr. hormone urine labs.

Nope I run this with all people on HRT
genova takes HMO plans as well.
As long as you qualify its a contract between you and them
I had a freind that saw EOB for 1300 bucks, but since she qualified they accepted the 150 prepayed.
