Note to Sylvester Stallone....

To enter Australia with testosterone, DHEA, and various other things, you need to get a permit FIRST.

The permit took 48 hours one week before I arrived. You can do it via email and there is no charge to apply/receive the permit. When you are on the airplane you check on the card that you have one of the following, "medication, illegal drugs, firearms, explosives, steroids, etc" I also checked off the boxes for soil on shoes, nuts, food, etc. I had 4 boxes in total checked.

So, for the first dude I go to, I explain to him all I got (T, GHRP-6, lunch cooler of leaking ice with pre-mixed HCG, protein powder, coconut oil, peanut butter, muddy shoes). He seemed only to care about the T, even though if you read the fine print on the TGA site, it implies a permit is needed to GH.anything and HCG.

Then I go to the "personal interview" and start digging out the medication on the examination table. They reviewed the prescription and briefly skimmed the doctor letter and permit again. I then disclosed the coconut oil, the protein powder, the muddy shoes, etc to this dude and how it was really packed in there good. He said that was for the next station that I would proceed to and that I was approved to proceed immediately.

The next station was just an x-ray thing and I was not flagged for additional scrutiny here.

More notes of interest. The 3oz of gel thing does not apply if you are bringing medication that requires cooling. I have a blue solid ice pack and a gel one. I wish I brought more. I was traveling for maybe, shoot, I don't even know right now. 30 hours maybe. I kept having to get ice while on the 15 hour Scairbus flight and fill my bag of goodies to keep it cool. I probably will not bring the HCG next time, it was a little bit of a hassle.

A list of substances requiring permits is here.

I need to bring an anabolic/androgenic substance or ketamine into Australia. What do I have to do?
You will need to obtain a permit before entering Australia. To apply for a permit you need to provide the Office of Chemical Safety and Environmental Health with a signed letter on official letterhead from your prescribing doctor, detailing:

Prescribing doctors name
Prescribing doctors address, telephone, fax and email contact details
Patient’s full name and date of birth
Name of medicine, including active drug substance
Strength of medicine
Dosage regime
A statement that the named patient has been prescribed the specified medicine to treat an ongoing medical condition.
You should also provide:

your planned arrival and departure dates in Australia and the country/s you are travelling from and returning to
your full contact details
Requests for permits can be sent to the Office of Chemical Safety and Environmental Health.
OCSEH contact details
Fax 02 6289 2500

Sorry Jim - that's not how it is. Here's the real deal:

http://www.tga.gov.au/import/persimp.htm

In short: "You may bring a 3 month supply (at the maximum dose recommended by the manufacturer) of unapproved medicines into Australia in any one importation without any approval required by the TGA provided that..."...blah blah...blah...

Also, never waste your time traveling anywhere in the world, with any form of HCG other than Ovidrel.

Ovidrel can handle no refrigeration for days, as described here:

You can get all the emails you want from organizations other than the TGA, but its the TGA with the ultimate authority on importation of supps in Australia.

Ie: TGA overrides all others, including these guys in your email here.

Actually, an individual customs officer in Australia can even go feral and deny you entry no matter what. So I guess Australian Customs can certainly trump even the TGA.

But if an Australian Customs officer were to go feral, and deny you entry, then you could make a legal claim for compensation with the Australian legal authorities, even though you might not bother, and the legal authorities in Australia would defer to the TGA rules and regulations as the highest authority, not these guys in your email.

Ok, we can do it your way..

We go to the TGA site
http://www.tga.gov.au/consumer/travellers.htm

then we read this
Travelling into Australia

Medicines brought into and taken out of Australia may be subject to respective import and export controls.
If you are visiting Australia it is advisable that you bring essential medicines for existing medical conditions.
As requirements may change, you should check requirements for the importation of medicines prior to each visit.

Visitors should also note that they need to check the requirements for quarantine and protected wildlife (http://www.musclechatroom.com/forum/../import/wildlife.htm) <http://www.tga.gov.au/import/wildlife.htm>.

I am travelling to Australia by plane or ship and need to bring my medication with me. What do I need to do?

Provided that your medication IS NOT subject to regulation 5H (or in certain circumstances regulation 5G) of the import regulations you can bring it into Australia for the purpose of treating your own medical condition or treating a passenger who is under your care, provided that you have a prescription or a letter from your doctor to confirm that the medicine was prescribed by a medical practitioner. So that you comply with other Australian legislation covering therapeutic products you should ensure that the maximum amount of medicine you bring is equivalent to 3 months’ supply at the maximum dose recommended by the manufacturer. Read on further to determine if your medicine may be controlled under a regulation that requires a written permit to bring it into Australia for personal use.

You cannot bring medicines that are subject to regulation 5H of the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations into Australia unless you hold a permit. Medicines subject to this level of import control include anabolic steroids and some other substances. If you intend to bring medications containing any of the substances listed in the table below you should follow the instructions to apply for a permit.

Substances subject to regulation 5H (Schedule 8) of the import regulations. Incoming travellers require a permit to import that must be issued before arrival.

The Office of Chemical Safety and Environmental Health (OCSEH) is the responsible agency for considering requests to import the following substances:

Anabolic/Androgenic substances and Ketamine
A list of prohibited imports is available on the OCSEH website to help identify substances considered to be anabolic/androgenic. (http://www.health.gov.au/internet/main/publishing.nsf/Content/list-of-drug-substances-requiring-import-and-or-export-authorisations)

What is the current consensus on a strength of Ovidrel?
and
how to dispense it when GH pen is not available?

I remember

250 µg rhCG =(6500iu)rHCG=(5000iu)HCG=0.51 5 mL=51.5units

but also
there were claims that the (5000iu)HCG
is more like
(10000iu)HCG

Big difference.

I get a bit of a chuckle about this. They make it sound like your going to infect the population with some toxin. Or you are bringing enough T to set up shop and sell it.

Asinine rules unfortunately around the world.

Hey Jim,
welcome to Australia.

Where are you travelling to in your stays here?
Leave Sydney tomorrow for Adelaide, then to Perth on Friday for a week, then back to Sydney to fly home.

Sydney is really nice.
