View Full Version : E2 and acne?

In the past I've had fairly low E2 readings (in the 10-14 range) and was told these were a bit low.

I also occasionally get some acne on my forehead, and I'm 38 years old, so it's not greasy kid's stuff - I'm normally acne free.

I kind of feel like my E2 may be low now due to the crappy way I'm feeling, and I'm also having an acne problem.

Has anyone noticed an acne issue coming about from low E2, or ever heard of such a symptom? I'm just trying to connect the dots (so to speak) LOL!

Thanks,
Eisenhower

I dunno.. I think it's more due to high E2, not low. about 4 months into HRT I got bacne.. not bad, but I usualy am blemish free (at least think I was). when my wife started noticing, then I was sure it was something.

Usually acne and too high E2 are related, not too low E2.

But acne is only one symptom, and all non-optimal symptoms are due to multiple hormone interactions.

So we have to consider several symptoms together and then we try to reverse engineer which of the many hormones which can cause each symptom, overlap on several symptoms.
