Does anyone know how long it is taking to get prescriptions filled through Anew rx. I remember Kim sending out an e-mail saying they were backed up but can’t remember how long she said it would take to fill scrips.

In my experience with RX; if they have your meds in stock they overnight them to you with Fed Ex

IME a bit more than 2 weeks.

There's a problem with their license that they need to get ironed out. After 1/1/10, there were certain states that they can't ship to - CA being one. After I waited for refills for more than a month, Kim finally informed me of this. She arranged to have my stuff overnighted from another compounding pharmacy in FL. They can't provide GHRP though.

Wonder if I should drop Kim a line. My bank draft for the script went through on the 4th and I usually get them pretty fast. I hate to bother her though if they are just backed up.

Last I knew ANEWrx was backed up about two weeks. If it has been longer than that I would contact Kim.

Once you find out what is going on please post here. I will be placing an order in about a month and it would be nice to know for sure what is going on before I order so I know how long I will have to wait.

I know - I hated to make her life more complicated, but I thought that a month was more than long enough to wait for stuff that I already paid for.

My last order took about a month with them...order was placed in Dec.

Probably best thing would be just to call them direct...they are nice people there.

Kim sent out an email saying she had a backup in her office of two weeks and ANEWRx was backed up also. I would plan on a month from ordering time to get a medication.

BTW, here is an excerpt from Kim's email:

"Please do not call Anew to inquire about the status of your script. If they have not entered the paper script in to their system, it will not show up as being there. Rest assured that all scripts have been faxed as soon as we were able to process them. In turn, I have overloaded the pharmacy and they are doing their best to get caught up with our orders as well."

"Two weeks" turned into way more than two weeks, without a word of explanation from the office.

Heard from Kim. It’s the license thing and they have had some other stuff going on. No big deal. She said my script would be coming from another pharmacy and all should be worked out by the time I need to refill again.

I live about 20 minutes from anewrx and mine took a month...just sayin'

Don't think any licensing was involved there.

I switched my RX to a local compounder in my area so I would have more control over getting my RX's. I feared running out and having nothing.

That's the smartest thing. Do you have to have the office send them a new 'script every time you order, or can you get refills?

Ahhh... I'm guessing NY was also a problem....

I just had my RX called in to my compounder. I have 5 refills as he wants to talk to you at least every six months. When I call my compounding pharmacy I get it within 2 days. It works the best for me to do it this way rather than call and constantly bother his office staff.

TONS of regulatory interference to business these days--and going up.

We simply got behind in our paperwork. My apologies to everyone affected.

We are down an employee, the extra complications of the Holiday Season, and I was out of town more than a week while lecturing. Also, during that time the percentage of patients using compounded meds went up, perhaps because so many are losing their health coverage.

We have now caught back up again.
