6.5 months in and it's clear this problem with sleep and testosterone is not going to go away for me.
I used to conk out for 10 or 12 hours (i need this much sleep or more) and ever since going on T I just can't get enough sleep. I always wake up way prematurely. I've been experimenting with lowering my dose and I've dropped it by more than 50mg at this point and it's helped but not enough.
I ended up going off last week for various reasons (didn't do my injection) and i slept much easier and more soundly within a few days of my supposed-to-be injection date.
I do sleep better the two nights a week i can take HCG.
I'm on T/arimidex, that's it. (no supps other than vitamin d and occasional multivitamin) urine cortisol is perfect.
I've tried melatonin, zma, 5-htp, gaba, all with pros and cons and just didn't work out for me.
My sleep hygiene is as good as I can make it.
Any ideas?

The same for me at this stage.
T.Enanthate, HCG, GH, Arimidex, Prednisolone, T3, zinc.

I normally need at least 9-10 hours. T hasn't changed my sleep unfortunately, positively or negatively.
I always wake up way prematurely.
I don't have this problem. I wake up feeling like I'm stoned though.

Me too
Hopefully my sleep will become better when my T and E2 are balanced. They're not at this stage.

If adequate T is triggering repairs, then this sounds more like a thyroid or cortisol problem.
Discuss with your medical professional adviser to have your thyroid hormones and your cortisol measured (pref 4-times-per-day saliva).
Don't worry about serum cortisol measurements, unless you're prepared to have several done all through the day (ouch!).
Don't worry about urinary thyroid hormone measurements, they rarely correlate with serum levels, and the following serum levels are enough to go on:
Thyroid:
a) thyroid antibodies (thyroid peroxidase antibodies, and TSH antibodies)
b) free T3
c) free T4
d) reverse T3
e) TSH
f) total T3 <--- optional, but still very useful
g) total T4 <--- optional, but still very useful

my urine cortisol (rhein) is perfect... i had a full thyroid panel done before T and it was also good, i havent done it since i started T but how likely is it to really be my thyroid?

Have you tried upping the exercise to wear yourself out more? If you're physically exhausted you'll sleep better.
I used to snore really bad until a couple months ago. I upped my cardio big time and haven't worn my snore mouth piece since. I forgot it one night and my wife said I didn't snore. Now, I will snore now and then, but it's nothing.
Also, a couple scotch's helps me get to sleep pretty easy too. :) Mmm.. can't wait...

What does "perfect" mean to you in terms of urinary cortisol?

my dr (a noted anti-aging / hormone expert around here) said "i'm looking at the best cortisol in the world" when i asked him about it. i don't remember what it was off the top of my head but right in mid or upper mid range i think.

Damn. My cortisol was almost smack dab in the middle of the range on Rheins (68 from the bottom edge; 63 from the top). But I have no sense of what an optimal showing on a Rheins panel is. I'm guessing it is either mid-range or high normal.

I didn't do my t shot this week, did 350IU of HCG last night, took 1/4th (ish) arimidex, and slept like a baby, better than I have forever.
