If one gets very lean, let's say I have a six pack. Where can I inject HCG then? Buttocks? Shoulders?
Or is it ok to continue sub-q even if the skin layer gets very thin (e.g. sixpack)?
(Im not on TRT yet)

I'm not super lean but losing. I no longer can do shots in my stomach even with a tiny bit of fat (but in the right light... I'm starting to see 6 pack!)
I still have fat in my upper/outer quad of my glute and my love handles, so lately I've been shooting there. Love handles work great, but a little awkward.
You really should be able to do them anywhere. Even below the belt line people sometimes have a little extra fat too. But it's also a little more sensitive.

Even though I am very lean and have a sixpack, I still have a little circle of fat in my umbilical area that I inject into. It helps if you use a very fine, short needle (5/16", 31 G). If I were to get even leaner, so that little circle of fat completely disappeared, I think I would inject into my thigh. It's perfectly OK to inject hCG IM, so I wouldn't worry too much if I just got so lean that there wasn't any fat to inject into.
I've always done hip/butt/thigh area. I have no stomach fat to speak of. I tried to bunch up what is there once and do a shot near my bellybutton and it hurt like hell.

Oh thank you guys, you have calmed me..
If its totally ok to inject IM, then Im fine.
But does IM hurt more?

Why did it hurt? You have hit the belly muscules?

You will barely feel it if you are using a short, fine needle.

No, I don't think I've actually hit muscle it just stings quite a bit in the stomach area.
If I inject near my hips/butt I feel nothing really, near painless.

Ya, around my bellybutton it hurts just getting the needle in.. never used to. I guess that's a good thing!
I did notice the other day instead of my bellybutton being round, it now has a flat horizontal flap of skin on it.. which I think is good.. lol I still could lose 15lbs of fat though. Just really hard to burn from my love handles and chest.

I'm pretty skinny, as my problem is putting the weight on. I have a bit of a definition in my abs, not super ripped or anything... I seem to do okay just hunching over and bunching up some skin, then using a little insulin needle at about 45 degrees. It is a bit awkward though.
I have occasions where it stings or I hit something solid and bleed, and sometimes it takes a couple of goes to find a good spot. I think, after reading the responses here, in future I'll try some other sites as well.
