After at least three months away from any serious cardio, I went out to the high school track today. The weather warmed up enough to where it seemed like a good idea, though there was definitely a nippy breeze that took advantage of all that wide open space to hit me in the face every time I was heading north.
All that time away from fitness definitely set me back. It was a disappointing feeling but I didn’t let it shut me down. I did the full nine laps. But I did have to psyche myself up a couple times by picturing "The Me I Want To Be" down at the far end of the track waving me forward. He had perfect abs, a thick chest, and beautiful biceps.
