Well, if you’ve followed my history of fitness at all, you know I am one to be constantly starting, never following through. It is a bad way I have with a lot of things in my life, not just working out.
So here we go again. It is a new year, and for some a new decade, though I would argue that the old decade still has one year to go, but that’s neither here nor there. My body needs to be repaired now, not a year from now.
I came out of the bathroom after weighing in, and my wife surprised me by taking a picture as I came into the bedroom naked. The resulting image on her little digital viewing screen was so repulsive that I am determined if nothing else to lose a whole bunch of bodyfat weight. After that, it’s time to get some real muscle going.
Having done nothing of any real exertion since probably October, I started with push-ups that used the knees as the fulcrum instead of the tips of the feet. This is at the advice of a man who puts informative videos up on YouTube. His username is Scooby or something like that.
Then I followed up with crunches, and I have clearly reverted back to a weaker state. But that’s to be expected.
So for those who actually read this, feel free to verbally kick my butt into gear if you see me slacking off in this blog. It’s time to make 2010 the Year of Hot and Sexy.
